Orphan Sponsorships

Wipe the Tears works in collaboration with ATAA Relief to help orphans build a future. We ensure that children are safe, and will receive quality education.

The prophet Mohammed (SAW) said:
"The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this".
And he (saw) held his two fingers together to illustrate.

Information about our orphan sponsorship program

Who am I sponsoring?
You can choose to sponsor any orphan at random, picked by our partner charity ATAA. Or, you could choose to sponsor a child of a specific age, gender, or education level.

What does a sponsorship include?
We make sure to carry out regular checkups to ensure the orphans' health and wellbeing are in good condition. Your sponsorship money will cover expenses for food, hygiene packs, clothing, heating, shelter, stationery and other equipment for school, and a children's basket including toys. In addition to that, the orphans in our sponsorship program also receive psychological support.

Can I get regular updates on the orphans I am sponsoring?
Yes! Through Wipe the Tears you will receive yearly reports regarding the child you have sponsored. This report will include:

  • Full name of the sponsor as well as the orphan
  • Date of birth
  • Date of becoming an orphan
  • Photographs of the orphan
  • Details of your sponsorship package
  • Summary of your payment plan

Where are the orphans?
All the orphans sponsored by Wipe the Tears live in deprived refugee camps in Turkey as well as in Syria. These camps are located near the Turkish/Syrian borders.
